Many groups when one of their members passes away and when asked by the family, do a brief service for the deceased. This is usually done at the viewing. Here are three versions of the Funeral Service which may be printed, modified as desired, and used by our groups.
First the Original Matt Talbot Service which has been used for many years. We know of printed copies which are at least forty years old.
Second, a Version revised by Men's Group 107. This is based on the original version, but has some more modern language.
Finally, we have a version Revised by one of our Retreat Masters. The Retreat Master felt he wanted something more in tune with the Catholic Church's present liturgy for the dead. However, this version really is appropriate only if the leader is a member of the clergy.
